This is a unique festival that be held once a year in
Venice, Italia. At that festival, the Venetians wear the masks. This festival
is really famous by its masks. The Venetians believe that when they wear the
masks, it shows that there is no difference among all. They can do whatever
they want and whoever they want to be when they wear the masks during the festival.
The original masks actually are simple in design, decoration and materials. But lately, by the human's creativity many kinds of masks are designed. There are many types of masks with their own name. For example Bauta, it's a mask like we usually see that cover the whole face, with the decorations of eyes, nose, chin line, but no mouth. Columbina, it's a half-face mask, with the decorations of eyes, nose and upper cheek.
