Public Baths in Japan

In Japan the public baths are called 'sento'.. Why do the Japaneses have sento?? In the past, many of their houses do not have their own bathtub.. So, the neighbors agree to have one and they can all take a bath there. They actually not only take a bath or soak in the tub, but they also use that opportunity to socialize each others.

These days, since most of the Japanese have their own bathtub in their home, the sento is not that many anymore, but they are still popular.. The Japanese now have the new type of sento, they combine the public baths with the sauna, fitness center, and they have many different pools..

Actually, what I'm trying to tell you guys is, the way they socialize.. See?? They can even socialize with the neighbors or other people while taking a bath.. While in our daily life, we may find that we are gathering together and have so many chances to talk or socialize but we are too busy with our phones or tablets or laptops instead.. Why don't we just talk?? That's gonna be more interesting where we can talk freely without the need of mediators..
